LAHORE – City Police made special security arrangements in connection with Shab-e-Miraj on Sunday.
SP Civil Lines Omer Saeed Malik told reporters that about 1,500 policemen, 10 DSPs and 25 SHOs were deployed to guard the PML-N led protesting rally; while about 3,000 policemen, several DSPs and SHOs of 80 police stations were asked to remain alert.
He further said that additional force was deployed at mosques, imam bargahs and rooftops of various buildings; and walkthrough gates, metal detectors and close-circuit cameras were installed at all important places throughout the City.
