LAHORE - Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman and The Nation Editor-in-Chief Dr Majid Nizami on Tuesday said that he conceived the idea of establishing the Ideological Summer School some13 years ago.
During his presidential address at the formal inauguration ceremony of the Ideological Summer School currently being run at the Aiwan-i-Karkunaan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan, Dr Nizami said that the aims and objectives of this school were the propagation and dissemination of the Ideology of Pakistan among the upcoming generations.
“The youth of the country should be told how and why Pakistan came into being, who conceived the idea of its creation and what unprecedented sacrifices had to be offered in this regard,” he said.
The Ideological Summer School, which will last for one month, has been arranged jointly by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust. The motto of the school is ‘Love Pakistan’.
Dr Majid Nizami also observed the freedom is the greatest blessing which must be defended at all costs. “We have to reclaim Kashmir without which Pakistan will remain incomplete,” he remarked. He paid tribute to former chief minister Ghulam Haider Wyne, who had established many welfare institutions. He informed that the Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam would become functional by the end of the year. He advised the students to always remember Allama Iqbal who conceived the ideology of Pakistan and the Quaid-i-Azam who actually attained Pakistan.
Former Sindh Chief Minister Ghous Ali Shah was the guest of honour, whereas Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Vice Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Secretary Shahid Rashid were also present on the occasion.
Ghous Ali Shah observed that the Muslims of the subcontinent had to render great sacrifices of life, property and honour to achieve the country. Talking about the history of subcontinent, he said that the Muslims and the Hindus constituted two entirely different nations. “The two-nation theory is, in fact, the ideology of Pakistan,” he stressed. He also advised the students to focus their full attention on their studies in order to be able to ensure a bright future for Pakistan.
