LAHORE - Higher Education Commission, Punjab University’s Sughra Begum Centre for Educational Policy & Development and Promotion of Education in Pakistan Foundation will jointly organize first of its kind one-day National Education Forum on Higher Education on Thursday at Dr Pervaiz Hassan Environmental Law Auditorium, New Campus.  Higher Education Commission Chairman Eng Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani, PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran, Chancellor LUMS Syed Babar Ali and VCs from eminent public and private sector universities will participate.
TREE PLANTATION: Punjab University Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics in collaboration with Punjab Forest Department kicked off tree plantation campaign. MMG Chairperson Prof Dr Anjum Nasim Sabri, Divisional Forest Officer Dr Syed Muhammad Akmal Rahim, Prof Emeritus Prof Dr Razi Abbas Shamsi, faculty members and students were present on the occasion. Later Dr. Rahim delivered a lecture on “Role of Forests in Biodiversity Conservation and Economy” and highlighted the importance of trees and forests in society.
Prof Dr Anjum Nasim Sabri presented souvenir to Dr Akmal Rahim and lauded the efforts of Punjab Forest Department for raising awareness in people regarding forests.
