Lahore High Court Monday stopped the power utility Pepco from unannounced load shedding in Punjab, a private TV reported. More than 12 petitions filed against unannounced load shedding argued that 16 to 18 hours unannounced power outages have badly hit the businesses. Pepco says that more power demand in different areas resulted in load shedding without prior announcement. The high court directed the company to issue schedule for load shedding and the hearing was adjourned till May 18.
