Maid shoots herself to death at DSPs house

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE A 24-year-old housemaid committed suicide by shooting herself in the temple at the residence of a DSP here in Garden Town police precincts on Monday. Resident of Okara, Bilqees Bibi, was lying dead in a pool of blood with bullet wounds in the temple as the police reached the spot. The girl was working as housemaid at the residence of DSP Imtiaz Sarwar. The family members of DSP told the police that she was upset for the last several days. They further said that the girl confined herself in the room and shot in the temple. She died on the spot. However, the police sources said that it was premature to determine whether she committed suicide or killed by someone. The police have shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy and started investigating. body found: A 25-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances from Millat Park police area, police said on Monday. The police investigators said that the youth, unidentified so far, was lying dead alongside Shah Kamal Road as they rushed to the crime scene. Some passersby spotted his dead body and contacted the police by phone. It seemed that youth was a labourer. The police also recovered a bag of clothes lying near his body. The police however, could not ascertain his identification. The body was shifted to the morgue for autopsy. 4 wheelies arrested: In an on-going special drive against wheelies, the Lahore City Traffic Police claimed to have arrested four violators on Monday from different areas of the Punjab capital. According to traffic police spokesman, the aforesaid numbers of wheelies were apprehended from Link Road, Shalimar Link Road, Canal Road and The Mall. He also said that the police were committed to eradicating the harmful practice especially from the Ring Road. The spokesman claimed that active and motivated special squads had been deployed on various imperative arteries of the city with strict directives of launching crackdown against the wheelies and the violators of other natures.
