LAHORE - The speakers at the 8th annual session of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust General Assembly Saturday stressed the need for joint effort to make Pakistan a prosperious state.
“The trust is the movement for a conscious revolution based on the high and exalted aims of the establishment of Pakistan. It is a beacon of light devised by a selfless and sincere soldier of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Dr Majid Nizami, which is replacing darkness with its brilliant radiance. It is the movement for protecting the people’s right to rule and acquainting the new generation with the rationale of Pakistan,: they said.
The speakers went on: “The NPT will continue with the cause of transforming Pakistan into a modern Islamic, democratic and welfare state. This institution is marching ahead step by step in spite of adverse circumstances and limited resources.” The members of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust General Council express their firm determination to save the ideology.
Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Muhammad Rafique Tarar chaired the session while NPT Vice Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad, Mian Farooq Altaf, Justice (r) Aftab Farrukh, Dr MA Sufi, Lt-Gen (r) Zulfikar Ali Khan, Ghulam Dastgir Khan, Begum Majida Wyne, Begum Mehnaz Rafi, Begum Surayya Khurshid, Begum Bushra Rehman, Dr Parveen Khan, Begum Safia Ishaq, Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali, Dr. Ajmal Niazi, Ch. Naeem Hussain Chattha, Rana Asfaq Rasul Khan, Justice (r) Munir Ahmad Mughal, Engr. Muhammad Arif Sheikh and Begum wyne.
Rafique Tarar congratulated all the members of the General Council on the completion of the phase I of the Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam. Only the interior decoration remains to be done, which is underway and is expected to be completed by year end.
Professor Dr Rafique Ahmad observed that the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust always welcomes the positive and constructive suggestions offered by anyone. “We deliver inspirational lectures in schools, colleges and universities. Up until now we have been able to inculcate the ideology of Pakistan and veneration for our national heroes in about 3 million girl-and boy-students,” he said. Mian Farooq Altaf congratulated the trust team on holding the 8th annual session of the General Council. NPT Secretary Shahid Rasheed also spoke.
Resolutions were passed on the occasion which lauded efforts of late Dr Majid Nizami for journalism. It was determined that the protection for both ideological and geographical boundaries would be ensured. The participants reposed trust on the leadership of NPT Chiarman Muhammad Rafique Tarrar. The efforts of the present government over Yemen crisis were also lauded. The statement of the COAS Gen Raheel Sharif was also lauded.
The sitting also urged international community to get Kashmir dispute settled. It was also said that the National Action Plan must be implemented. Another resolution demanded the government to accelerate efforts to bring back stranded Pakistanis from Bangladesh.
The Nawa- iwaqt efforts for the stranded was also praised. A call was made for cemented ties with China.
