LAHORE - The General House of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) Thursday unanimously carried a resolution to blame America for spreading terrorism in Pakistan and also that the US was involved in Mumbai attacks under the consideration that Pakistan would automatically come under accusations as their perpetrator. The packed house of the LHC Bar before proceeding to the Mall for weekly rally against the government on the issue of judges restoration, also carried with one voice that the US had designed disintegration of Pakistan and now in league with India and Afghanistan, it was executing that plan to ultimately divide Pakistan after the pattern of Yugoslavia so that its nuclear assets could be easily liquidated. The resolution, presented by Barrister Zafarullah Khan said America and Britain did much drum beating on Mumbai mayhem so that Pakistan is incriminated for the same and no eye could be turned to them. The resolution also condemned the US attacks on Pakistan territory and raised curtain on the plan, what is said, to convert the Northern areas into an Agha Khan State for which the Agha Khan Foundation is spending $300 million per annum. The House supplemented the resolution that, "Whole Muslim world is being made target by the Western countries. The UNO is playing in the hand of the US. On the aspiration of the US, the UN has declared Jamatud Dawa a terrorist organisation. The Jamatud Dawa is a philanthropist institution and is rendering services to poor citizens of Pakistan in the field of education, rehabilitation and provision of human rights. The LHCBA strongly condemns ban on non-terrorist, religious and welfare organisation by the Pakistan govt and urges it to lift the ban imposed on Dawa." Earlier, LHC Bar Vice President Mian Muhammad Aslam, Secretary Rana Asadullah Khan, Member Pakistan Bar Council Hafiz Abdul Rehman Ansari, Liaquat Ali Qureshi, M Anwar Ghumman, Nisar Safdar, Umar Hayat Sindhu, Wali M Khan and Farooq Tariq, chairman Labour Party addressed the House. The speakers regretted that the sitting government, which they said, came into being as consequence of the lawyers' movement was treading the path of previous dictatorial regime. They said the PPP government was not reinstating deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry but harbouring some other aims and objectives and feeling him a hindrance in that way. They said during his tenure, Justice Chaudhry not only checked privatisation of the prized assets of the state at throwaway price but also provided justice to the poor and the powerless, therefore, his restoration to the office was not only a demand of the legal fraternity but also of the whole nation. They said as long as the judiciary is not strong and independent, the system in the country cannot work perfectly. They said if the country has to be made strong, give the people their rights, which can be ensured only through a free judiciary. They said President Zardari before the whole nation made promise to restore the November 2, 2007 judiciary and impeach Musharraf but he let down the whole people on these counts. They said the rulers who play in the hands of the aliens instead of honouring sentiments and aspirations of the nation, cannot be termed brave and bold. The example, they said, is the Mumbai incident and blatant violation of Pakistani airspace by the Indian planes and the reaction of our rulers to them. The speakers have demanded immediate reinstatement of Justice Chaudhry. Rana Asadullah appreciating the leadership of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif said, he always gave importance to national interest over his personal ones and stood by the stand of the lawyers. He said what message conveyed to Nawaz allegedly on behalf of Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar over the issue of additional marks to Farah Dogar, negates the provision of justice. The situation, as such, demands immediate resignation of the chief justice. Rana Asad said the rulers who run counter to the public aspirations are treated with 'shoes' the beginning of which, he added, has been made by an Iraqi journalist by hurling shoe on US President Bush.
