Solidarity with terror victims

LAHORE - PML-Q Punjab chapter has postponed its public moot in Chunian to express solidarity with the victims of Peshawar incident.
Addressing a press conference at Muslim League House on Thursday, PML-Q leaders, Talib Nakai, Asif Nakai, Waqas Hassan Mokal and Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi said that party’s provincial chapter headed by Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has postponed the Chunian public meeting till December 30, which is earlier scheduled for December 21.
Meanwhile, PTI central President (Women Wing), Munaza Hassan with dozens of party leaders and workers held a candle-lit vigil at Liberty Chowk to express solidarity with the little angels of Peshawar incident. In another event, PTI Punjab President (Women Wing), Saloni Bokhari led a protest demonstration at Faisal Chowk against the most horrific terror incident of Peshawar.
Expressing its solidarity with the families of Peshawar massacre martyrs, Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) on Thursday held a candlelight vigil at Liberty Round About.
LWMC Head of Communication Department Jamil Khawar led the ceremony whereas General Manager Shahid Farooq, Senior Manager Suhail Anwar Malik participated in the vigil along with officials of Turkish companies, members of civil society and a large number of students. Besides lighting thousands of lamps, the participants prayed for the martyrs and their grieved families.
They were holding placards and banners and also raised slogans to express solidarity.
In a message, LWMC chairman Khawaja Ahmad Hassan and Managing Director Khalid Majeed also expressed their profound grief over the tragedy and conveyed their sympathies with the bereaved families.
