LAHORE – A five-year-old boy was burnt to death shortly after a pot of boiling water fell on him in the Chung area on Friday.
The family told the police that the boy, identified as Naimat, son of Waseem, was playing at home when a pot filled with boiling water fell on him.
As a result, the minor sustained sever burn injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
Meanwhile, a man was shot dead by his brothers-in-law over property dispute in the Shahdara police area on Friday.
The killers escaped from the crime scene, investigators said adding, raids are underway to ensure their arrests.
The deceased, identified as Riaz Ahmed, was present at the house when his brother-in-law Wajid along with his accomplices Sajid and Ilyas stormed in his Wandala Road residence. First, they exchanged harsh words with Riaz and then opened straight fire at him. The man sustained multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot while the killer fled away instantly. The body was removed to the morgue for autopsy.
Police investigators said that the deceased had a property dispute with the brothers of his wife, who nursed grudge against him.
The police have also registered a murder case against the killers and are investigating.
