HEC chief for meeting need of language reforms

LAHORE - A letter of commemoration was signed between the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the US Embassy to memorialise the joint venture of HEC's English Language Teaching Reforms (ELTR) Project and the US Embassy.
The ceremony was held here at HEC Secretariat. Chairperson HEC Engr Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani and Peter M Brennan, Minister Counsellor for Public Affairs US Embassy, signed the letter as signatories. As co-signatories, Noor Amna Malik, Director General (Learning Innovation) HEC, and FiFe MacDuff, Regional English Language Officer, signed the letter of commemoration.
ELTR Project of HEC in its Phase-II, launched in April 2010, took an initiative to join hands with the US Embassy to organise international resource person (IRP) trainings for indigenous English faculty. In this series, six IRP trainings were organised across the country.
