LAHORE - A Lahore Civil Court Saturday summoned PML-N MPA Shumaila Rana and her mother Anjum Ara on a suit that sought possession of a house allegedly from the illegal occupation of the defendants. The plea has been filed by a citizen Zafar Abbas contending that Shumaila and her mother took his house at Badian Road on rent which they are using now as an office. He argued the defendants were neither paying him rent nor vacating the house. He prayed to the court to help him retrieve his house and payment of the rent. After hearing the arguments at preliminary situation, the court issued notice to the defendants for their appearance on July 23.
