Talk on role of media, future of Pakistan held

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - The Institute of Communication Studies of the Punjab University on Saturday organised a special dialogue about the future of Pakistan and the role of media. ICS Director Dr Ahsan Akhtar Naz presided over the dialogue while senior analyst Sajjad Mir and Punjab Education Foundation Chairman Raja Anwar, were the guest speakers. Anwar said that today the culture of PU was quite different from the times when he used to be the student. He said that the youth of Pakistan could bring about a change and it was a ray of hope for him. If we wanted to bring revolution in our society, we have to slowly and gradually diffuse innovation with the long-standing ideas of the people. He further said that Punjab University produced great politician and leaders in the past. Sajjad Mir, a rightist student leader of the past, said that the students of journalism should refrain from yellow journalism. He reassured the students that Pakistan will prosper soon.
