Ex-MPA gets bail

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHOR - The Lahore High Court on Friday granted bail to former PML-N MPA Mohammad Rizwan Gill involved in a fake degree case and sent to Sargodha police by Election Commission of Pakistan. Mr Gill through his counsel submitted a bail application contending that his case was being heard in a trial court. He submitted that it was summary trail when the Lahore High Court had disqualified him from the assembly seat. He contended that under section of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) under which he was charged carries punishment less than ten years. He requested the court to accept his bail petition. After hearing the arguments, Justice Kazim Raza Shamsi allowed bail petition and issued release orders of Mr Gill subject to furnishing of surety bonds.
