LAHORE - The PTI Punjab chapter leadership has condemned the police action crackdown on people protesting against overbilling in Bahawalnagar.
Addressing a press conference at party office on Tuesday, PTI Punjab leaders, Ijaz Chaudhary and Dr Yasmin Rashid have claimed that Punjab government and its police had crossed all limits of brutality and state oppression.
They said that houses of poor people were demolished just because they raised voice against heavy bills and poor governance of the poor government in different villages of District Bahawalnagar.
Meanwhile, PTI Punjab chapter after chairing a meeting of party’s ulema and minority wing has announced constituting a jirga comprising members from ulema and minority wings of all the provinces to look after the interests of the minorities and inter-faith harmony.
