LAHORE - PML-N’s Member National Assembly Afzal Khokhar was issued a challan on Thursday for over speeding.
Khokhar was driving his car on Canal road from Thokar Niaz Beg to Mall road when he was stopped by traffic warden near Jinnah Hospital Underpass.
The MNA was shown the record of the CCTV camera at which he handed over the registration papers of the vehicle. The warden issued him a ticket for Rs 500.
Khokhar was driving at 87 km per hour speed while the speed limit in the area is 60 km per hour. When contacted, he accepted his fault, saying: “Everyone is bound to obey the law.”
Dealer caught, 5kg chars seized:  Lahore police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a most wanted narcotics dealer and recovered five kilogram chars from his possession during checking at the Thokar Niaz Baig.
A police spokesperson said that a police team arrested a drug pusher and recovered 5kg chars from his possession during snap-checking at LOS Thokar Niaz Baig.
DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf distributed appreciation certificates among 13 policemen for showing excellent performance at a simple ceremony held at his office. Chief Traffic Officer Tayyab Hafiz Cheema was also there on this occasion.
