Unidentified gunmen kill man in Lahore's Shah Alam market

LAHORE: Armed men gunned down a  PTI candidate for the post of  chairmanship of union council today.

Police said that armed men opened fire at PTI candidate for chairman from UC-33 Lahore, Tanveer Ahmed leaving him critically injured and fled from the scene.

The injured succumbed to his wounds while shifting to hospital. The body was handed over to heirs after postmortem.

In 2015, 2 workers of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf were killed and Tanvir was a complainant of the case. It is still no clear if he was killed due to the case, police are looking into the matter.
