‘Punjab speed’ is now ‘Shehbaz speed’

LAHORE - The title of ‘Punjab Speed’ has now changed to ‘Shehbaz Speed’, said Zheng Xiaosong, Vice Minister, International Department of Central Committee of Communist Party of China, while paying rich tributes to the speed of work and extraordinary abilities of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif yesterday.

During a meeting with the chief minister, the Chinese said that he was extremely happy to see the standard and speed of CPEC projects in Punjab. “CM Shehbaz Sharif’s speed of completion of projects is surprising and is also acknowledged by the Chinese leadership and heads of different institutions,” he added.

Zheng Xiaosong said he appreciates the commitment and extraordinary abilities of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Zheng recalled CM Shehbaz visited China in July 2016 and he accompanied him everywhere and personally witnessed that Shehbaz Sharif performs his responsibilities with extreme dedication and he was deeply impressed with his style of work.

The vice minister further said the time spent by him with Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif in China was very pleasant, which he could not forget. Due to heavy work, Zheng added, he often felt tired but Shehbaz Sharif was always fresh.

Although the abilities of Chinese nation for work is an example throughout the world, Zheng Xiaosong said he feels that Shehbaz Sharif is more hardworking than the Chinese people and is rendering invaluable services to his nation.

The vice minister said that Shehbaz Sharif is infused with the spirit of public service and serves the people round the clock.

“Punjab will soon emerge as a developed province under the leadership of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif,” he hoped. He also acknowleged that Shehbaz Sharif has played an important role in the promotion of Pak-China relations and speedy implementation of CPEC projects and the Chinese leadership appreciate his speed of work. On the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said that appreciation of speed, standard and transparency of development projects under CPEC in Pakistan by Chinese leadership, government and heads of various institutions is an honour for Pakistani nation. “A strong foundation for speedy development of Pakistan has been laid with the implementation of CPEC projects and this historic project has started yielding benefits due to which a number of countries are taking interest in CPEC,” he added.

He further said that people of Pakistan are thankful to Chinese leadership for its love and sincerity.

CM URGES WORLD TO ACT FOR KASHMIRIS

Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called upon the international community to play an active role to check atrocities against the unarmed people of Kashmir by the Indian forces.

Talking to Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider, who met him in Islamabad yesterday, Shehbaz Sharif said despite the fact Indian forces have unleashed a reign of terror against Kashmiri people, they were undeterred and undaunted in their struggle for freedom from the Indian yoke of slavery.

By the use of force, Shehbaz stressed, neither movement of Kashmiris can be suppressed nor they can be deprived of their right of self-determination. He said that international community should take notice of the brutalities of Indian armed forces in Occupied Kashmir.

“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has raised Kashmir issue at every level and he is deeply interested in progress and development of Azad Kashmir,” the CM told Raja Farooq Haider.

The AJK prime minister, on the occasion, said that Kashmiri youth are rendering supreme sacrifices for freedom. “Kashmirs are struggling for their just right and the new generation of Kashmiries has infused a new spirit in freedom movement,” he added.

He also lauded the aim of PML-N government for welfare of the common man and development of all areas without any discrimination.
