Official nabbed for torturing child maid

LAHORE - Police have arrested an official for brutally torturing an eleven-year-old housemaid during a raid at his residence in Johar Town on Thursday.
The poor girl, identified as Umme Rubab, was admitted to a hospital. There were sever torture marks and swelling on her face, suggesting that she was brutally tortured. The police have registered a criminal case against Audit Officer Irfan and are investigating.
The victim told the police that the family frequently used to torture her with sticks and clubs over minor issues. The minor girl was working as maid on Rs 3,000 per month.

Last year, a 14-year-old girl Aqsa, who was working as maid at a house in Zubaida Park, was tortured and burnt by the owners.
