LAHORE - A man unleashed acid attack on his ex in Samanabad police limits Wednesday.
According to police, Azeem had divorced Noreen few days ago. The mother-of-three was on her way back home after dropping her children at school when Azeem attacked her and ran away.
She was rushed to hospital. Police say they were making raids to nick the attacker.
Globally, the majority of acid attacks occur in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Cambodia, Nepal and Uganda, although the numbers of British victims are increasing and include, most famously, model-turned-presenter Katie Piper.
A report claimed in June that the highest rate of acid attacks in the country in 2013 was in the Punjab where 56 percent of the nationwide attacks were recorded.
Man commits suicide after killing son: A man committed suicide after killing his son over a property dispute in Green Town police precincts Wednesday.
According to their neighbours, Irfan has been torturing his father Ahmad Hassan for the past 12 years. On the day of incident,  Ahmad shot dead his son Irfan at a barber’s shop after a brawl over property share. Following the killing, the father ended his life. the police have shifted the bodies to morgue.
