Kasur accused remanded

LAHORE - Special anti-terrorism court on Wednesday handed over 16 suspects for three-day physical remand to police for their alleged involvement in lynching of a Christian couple in Kot Radha Kishan, District Kasur.
Police produced all accused in the ATC court and submitted that interrogation from the newly arrested 16 suspects was yet to be done and their physical custody was required. They sought physical remand of the suspects. The court allowed the request and granted the police three-day custody of the suspects.
The court also sent four of the prime suspects to jail on judicial remand after the IO said the interrogation from them was completed. The suspects who were sent to jail included brick-kiln owner Muhammad Yousaf, local prayer leader Ghulam Hussain, Haris Bashir and Mehmand Jatt.
The victims Shahzad Masih and his pregnant wife Shama were bonded labour at brick kiln of Yousaf.
