LAHORE – Staff of the Commercialisation Directorate of Lahore Development Authority sealed as many as 21 properties situated at different locations in Gulberg on Thursday. The defaulters had failed to deposit commercialisation fee despite being repeatedly served with notices in this regard.
Meanwhile, after issuance of notices by LDA to the illegally constructed houses in the approved private housing schemes, a large number of residential units have submitted their building plans for seeking approval from LDA.
Meanwhile, Lahore Development Authority Director General Ahad Khan Cheema on Thursday transferred Shahid Ismail Mirza, Deputy Director (Security Featured Papers), and posted him as Director Record Management, in his own pay and scale. Rafia Nazir, Assistant Director (Customer Care) awaiting posting, had been posted as Deputy Director (Record) in the Directorate of Record Management, in her own pay and scale. Usman Amjad, Assistant Director (Computer), Directorate of Computer Services, LDA will look after the work of Deputy Director (SFP), in addition to his own duties.
Meanwhile, the newly established Directorate of Estate Management (Private Housing Schemes) will closely monitor the affairs of approved private housing schemes in the city. It will function under the administrative control of Chief Metropolitan Planner, LDA. It will be headed by a director of general cadre and prepare proper land bank of LDA property in private housing schemes and its disposal through auction. It will also safeguard the public utility sites, reserved for setting up schools, dispensaries, community centres, graveyards and other places of public use in these schemes besides controlling the unauthorised sale of mortgaged plots by taking action against encroachments/ illegal occupation.
Employee dismissed: LDA has dismissed Akhtar Abbas, Junior Clerk LDA on account of his being absent from duty since 12.08.2011 till date without any intimation/ prior permission from the competent authority. He was proceeded against under Punjab Employees, Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act, 2006.
Meanwhile, LDA has urged the allottees of LDA Avenue-I, who had not yet paid one or more installments out of the total 12 payment, to deposit the remaining price of their plots by the 31st of March 2013.
No mark up or penalty will be charged from them by this date because of the delay in payment at their part. No further extension will be given in this date.
LDA reserves the authority for cancellation of a plot after this date in case failure at the part of an allottee under section xi of the allotment letter. In case of cancellation of allotment, the price deposited by an allottee will be returned to him/her after 10 percent deduction in the amount paid by him.
