LAHORE: CIA on Friday claimed to have arrested two car lifters allegedly involved in thefts of more than 80 cases and recovered 12 cars from their possession, said spokesman of police here.
The official said that the accused are involved in car theft cases in various districts of the province. They were operating an inter district gang. SP, CIA formed a police team headed by DSP CIA Iqbal town to arrest the accused. The team arrested two members of a gang including Imran Saleem alias Goga and Muhammad Asif alias Kaloo residents of Rawalpindi. The team arrested the accused when they were gathered at Gulshan-e-Ravi. During preliminary interrogation accused confessed to 81 strikes of car theft in various parts of the province.–Staff Reporter
