Mooting Nazaria-i-Pakistan

LAHORE - JAVED IQBAL - The inability to make country as per the thoughts of Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal resulted into Pakistan’s division. It is hoped that Bangladesh would be part of Pakistan again.
These views were expressed by The Nation Editor-in-Chief Dr Majid Nizami as chief guest at first session of the 6th three-day Nazaria-i-Pakistan Conference (NPC) organised by Nazria Pakistan Trust (NPT) at Aiwan-i-Karkunan Tehreek-i-Pakistan on Thursday.
Former president Rafique Tarrar, Col (r) Jamshed Ahmad Tareen, and Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafique, Gen (r) Zulfiqar Ali Khan, Mian Farooq Altaf, Malik Ghulam Rabbani Aiwan, Prof Hamayon Ehsan, Dr Khalid Abbas and Shahid Rasheed addressed the ceremony. Prof MA Soofi, Mahnaz Rafi, former justice Munir Ahmad Mughal, Ch Naeem Hussain Chattha and a large number of people from all walks of life attended the sitting.
In his address, NPT Chairman Dr Majid Nizami said the rulers at last agreed upon that the Indian conspiracies led to terrorism in Pakistan. He also criticised the rulers for their failure in addressing the grievances of people. “Trade with India cannot be possible until the settlement of the Kashmir issue,” Nizami held.
“Two-Nation Theory led to the creation of Pakistan and the theory was still working even after the separation of Bangladesh. Rulers next to Mujeeb’s daughter in Bangladesh would make a confederation with Pakistan,” he added.
Earlier, Nizami opened the conference proceedings by a flag-hoisting ceremony at the Aiwan. He was accompanied by Pakistan Movement workers and people from different walks of life.
Rafique Tarrar threw light on the creation of Pakistan. He said it was need of the hour to be united on Pakistan ideology.
Khawaja Saad Rafique lauded Majid Nizami’s efforts for dimensioning ideology of the country to youth through NPT.
He said that the state would not surrender to those terrorists who wanted their will to be implemented. He said that the incumbent government wanted peace in the country and dialogue with the terrorists was such one effort.
He criticised Baloch elements which were being utilised by the enemies. He said that the need was to break begging bowl that shunned our independence.
NPT Chief Coordinator Mian Farooq Altaf lauded the act of participants who came all from remote areas. He also congratulated Dr Majid Nizami on organising such conference every year. He said that Pakistan would be an Islamic, democratic and welfare state as envisaged by Allama Iqbal and the Quaid-i-Azam. NPT Secretary Shahid Rasheed presented the trust report and said that the trust in the leadership of Dr Majid Nizami had been working to promote the ideology that provided basis for Pakistan.
NPF England said that the gathering of flag bearers of the ideology was a good omen and he thought it was result of the efforts of NPT Chairman Dr Majid Nizami. He also donated Rs two million for the construction of Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam.
Earlier, he narrated the objectives of the NPT for organising the conference. He said that creating awareness among the people of Pakistan about Pakistan ideology was the main objective of the NPC.
Other speakers including former Chairman Wapda Gen (r) Zulfiqar Ali Khan, NPF Madina Dr Khalid Abbas, noted scholar Hamayon Ehsan and others termed Majid Nizami as true advocate of Kashmiri people who was also struggling to secure the ideological boundaries of the country.
“Pakistan needs to be saved from the conspiracies of the ‘looters’ who want to subdue the country to the wishes and will of the foreigners for the sake of few bucks. If Pakistan can become a nuclear power, it can also become an economic might in the world provided there is a will and direction to act on the line of Charter of Madina,” they held.
In the evening, Hafiz Saeed, Dr Ajmal Niazi, Moulana Shafi Josh, Begum Surayya KH Khursheed addressed the Kashmir Session of the conference and asked the Pakistan Army to free ‘jugular vein of the country’ from India.
