Seven die due to PIC medicine reaction

At least seven died after reaction of medicine from pharmacy of Punjab Institute of Cardiology, a private TV reported on Saturday.
According to the report, at least seven cardiac patients died due to reaction from medicines provided by the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) Lahore. More than 150 patients have reached different hospitals of Lahore after reaction from medicines from PIC. The number of affected patients and people dying after medicine reaction is increasing. Secretary Health Jahanzeb Khan said that deaths due to medicine reaction are deplorable and strict action will be taken against the responsible. Provincial Health Minister Dr Saeed Elahi said that the tragedy happened due to improper storage of medicines. Dr Saeed promised stern action against the people behind this mishap.
