Nation suffered a lot but determined to eliminate terrorism: Shehbaz

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said the Pakistani nation had suffered a lot in the fight against terror but was determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.

He was talking to a Chinese delegation, which called on him here. The President of Pakistan-China Friendship Association was also present in the meeting.

Referring to the terror attack on Bacha Khan University Charsadda, the Chief Minister said the parents had sacrificed their loved ones for the safety of country. The students had been targeted once again but the perpetrators would never be forgiven, he added.

Members of the Chinese delegation strongly condemned the Bacha Khan University attack.

During the meeting, measures to further strengthening of Pakistan-China relations also came under discussion with main focus on the economic and trade sector.

The current situation of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was also analyzed.
