Show cause notices issued


LAHORE – The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue-1122) has served show cause notices on eight senior officials for their ‘poor performance’ and spreading disinformation about the service.
District Emergency Officer Lahore Dr Ahmed Raza, who was conferred Sitara-e-Imtiaz by President of Pakistan this year on showing excellent performance, is also among them.
The notices have been issued to Deputy Director (DD Fire and Rescue) Noman Noor, DD (Repair and Maintenance) Faisal Mehboob, DEO Bahawalpur Dr Asif Rahim Channer, Emergency Officer (Technical) Engr Mohsin Nazeer, and Emergency Officer (Works) Engr Ali Asghar, PRO (South) Faheem Jehanzaib and PRO (North) Farooq Ahmed. They had allegedly opposed in purchase of Chinese ambulances for the department.
However, according to a handout issued by the service, the aforesaid officials “were spreading disinformation about the top management of the service to cover their unsatisfactory performance.”
