LAHORE – Strong winds over the plains including Lahore city caused a considerable fall in the mercury level, making the weather pleasant on Tuesday.
Dust raising winds have delayed the start of summers for a few days as experts expect the weather conditions to persist for the next couple of days. Prior to this, the weather was changing rapidly towards the hot summer.
In Lahore, the winds have caused a decrease of 9 degree Celsius in the daytime temperature, sliding to 23 C on Tuesday. Minimum temperature was recorded 17 C, while relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 25 percent which decreased to 21 percent in the evening.
According to experts, a trough of westerly wave persists over northern areas of the country. Local meteorological department has forecast mainly dry weather for most parts of the country with windy conditions over the plains including for the next couple of days.
