Police performance praised

LAHORE  - Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Amin Wains has said that appointment of admin officers in police stations is an important step towards change in Thana culture and yielding positive results.
The city police chief further said that the way admin officers are behaving politely with the complainants who come to police stations for the solution of their problems and take personal interest in redressing their grievances is the demand of their job.
He was addressing the weekly meeting of admin officers at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh on Friday. Member National Assembly Pervaiz Malik and SP CIA Muhammad Omer Virk were also present on the occasion.
The CCPO gave cash prizes to admin officers of twelve police stations including Ghalib Market, Sandha, Wahdat Colony, Shadbagh, and Ghazi Abad for showing excellent performance. The police chief also appreciated the newly-appointed admin officers for discharging their duties efficiently and addressing the grievances of the ordinary people who visited police station to get justice.
He said that admin officers have been posted in all the police stations to restore the confidence of citizens in police and it is their responsibility to serve the people with a public spirit. He said that this image should also be promoted in other police stations for resolving grievances of the aggrieved persons.
Member National Assembly Pervaiz Malik said that posting of admin officers in police stations is leaving a positive impact however there is a room for improvement. He especially appreciated admin officers of police stations Shadbagh, Gujjarpura and Shalimar. He said that they have good reputation and every citizen is satisfied with their behavior. He said that it is the mission of Punjab Chief Minister to make police force public-friendly and appointment of admin officers is big a step in this direction.  SP CIA Omer Virk said that if admin officers continue to perform their duties with the same spirit they will be rewarded by Allah in this world and the world hereafter.
