11 points of Jirga can end crisis: Dr Waseem

Lahore - Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab and member of Punjab Assembly Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar has said that the supremacy of constitution, law and democracy is the key to the progress of the nation as all these principles are adopted by the developed nations.  He regretted that due to prevailing circumstances in the country, businessmen from foreign countries prefer to invest in other countries instead of Pakistan. He expressed alarm at the political situation which he said had compelled Chinese President to cancel his visit of Pakistan but go on with the visit to India. He said China will invest 20 billion dollars in India in the field of basic infrastructure during a course of five years.
He said that the need of the hour was that political parties sat together to resolve their differences.  He stressed the need to accept the 11 points suggested by the political Jirga in order to end the stalemate, while at the same time appreciating the efforts of the Jirga towards finding a way out.  He also cautioned that in the past, friction between government and the opposition had allowed the anti-democratic forces to sneak into the corridors of power. Calling on the government to release the arrested PTI, workers, he stressed for a amicable settlement of the crisis.
