Sh Rashid hopes crisis to end by Sunday

LAHORE - Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has stated that the ongoing political crisis is likely to be resolved by Sunday.
In a TV interview here on Thursday, he said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was likely to start its own sit-ins in the next 72 hours.
Answering a question, the former Information Minister, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said that the Army did not like to intervene in the present situation.
However, he said, in case it was “sucked in”, it would not stand aloof.
At present, he said, the Army was telling all sides to settle differences through meaningful talks.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was of the view that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would be the sole loser in case the matters were mishandled.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed warned that if a single person participating in the protests was killed, the toll would go up.
