LAHORE – The intra-party polls for 28 offices of the central organization of the PTI was held on Thursday at Aiwan-e-Iqbal as 14 offices bearers were elected unopposed. The PTI election commission said that party chairman, Imran Khan, vice chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and a senior vice president for Khyber Pukhtunkhawa, Azam Swati were elected unopposed, while results of other 11out of 42 offices of the central party would be announced on Friday. Imran Khan addressing party workers at the polling venue said that March 23 would prove a turning point in the political history of Pakistan, while PTI would celebrate Day of Deliverance at Minar-i-Pakistan today (Friday). He thanked all the party workers and leaders for successful of intra-party polls and accepting the results with open heart. Imarn stressed all the political parties to learn from PTI intra-party elections for establishing real democracy in their parties. He claimed that PTI was the force of change and it would bring a change with overwhelming support of the masses in the result of the general elections. All the party heavy weights visited polling venue, besides the members of the electoral college to elect the central party organisation.
