LAHORE - Lahore Operations police chief DIG Rana Abdul Jabbar on Wednesday ordered the police to step up crackdown against the proclaimed offenders to control crimes in the provincial metropolis. A police spokesman said that the DIG issued these directions while presiding over a meeting at police headquarters on Wednesday. Apart from senior officers, all the SHOs of the Model Town police division were also present on this occasion. The police are also directed to collect the particulars of the tenants staying in Lahore. The police have also directed the management of private banks to take security measures particularly installation of CCTV cameras to avoid any untoward incident.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
