Reply sought from LCWU

LAHORE - Lahore High Court justice Yawar Ali Thursday ordered the Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) Vice Chancellor Bushra Mateen to submit report to the court within three weeks for not issuing appointment letter to a candidate for the post of public relations officer (PRO) despite merit. A petitioner Sayed Arif Nonari maintained in his petition that he gave an interview for the post of a public relations officer (PRO) in LCWU, claiming that he was on 2nd number according to the merit list of the applicants who were interviewed. He maintained that a letter of appointment was issued to a successful candidate namely Qamar Bukhari who refused to join as LCWU as a public relations officer. He contended that after the refusal of the first candidate, the LCWU concerned officer did not issue the appointment letter to the 2nd candidate (Arif) on merit.
