LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday re-directed police to arrest rapist(s).
“Provision of justice to the aggrieved family is my duty and responsibility and I will not rest till I finish my job,” the CM said while presiding over a meeting over the issue on Saturday.
The meeting was informed about various aspects of the victim. MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, Inspector General Police, Secretary Home, CCPO Lahore, DIG Investigation and other concerned officials were present at the occasion.
The CM demanded immediate apprehension while saying that the police should spare no effort in arresting the accused.
The CM said that all aspects, evidences and scientific investigation should be kept in view so that deterrent punishment could be awarded to the accused as per law. He said that the arrest of the accused is a test case for police.
