Anti-narcotics seminar

LAHORE (PR) – An anti-narcotic seminar named “Drug-free Lahore” was organized at Government Islamia College, Railway Road, under the aegis of Anti-Narcotics Society here the other day, says a press release.
According to detail, college Principal Prof Amjad Ali Shakir presided over the meeting while former Inspector General Punjab Altaf Qamar graced the occasion as chief guest. The gathering was attended by a large number of teachers, students and people from all walks of life.
While addressing, chief guest former IG Punjab Altaf Qamar said that according to Islamic teachings, narcotics are forbidden for every Muslim while usage of drugs is also considered to be a curse in society. He advised students to keep away from this nuisance as its usage not only ruin one’s health but a lot of precious money also goes to waste. Principal Amjad said that govt codes of conduct are prevailing in the country in this regard.
