Action on National Action Plan satisfactory

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Lahore Corps Commander Lt Gen Naveed Zaman held a meeting to review the implementation of National Action Plan.
CM Shahbaz appreciated the sacrifices of the Army for peace and lauded the national determination for eradication of terrorism.
The CM and the Corps Commander expressed satisfaction over the steps taken in the province under National Action Plan and they expressed the resolve to adopt further consolidated measures. The meeting also renewed the determination for the complete elimination of terrorism, extremism and sectarianism. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said the steps taken under National Action Plan in Punjab are yielding results.
He said the nation stands firm against terrorists and the war on terror will be fought on every front. He said that officers and Jawans of Pak Army, Police and citizens have rendered supreme sacrifices in the war and the nation is proud them.
He said that terror financers would also be brought to justice. Shahbaz said that terrorists are enemies of the country and the nation and will be completely eliminated. He said that it is the mission of every Pakistani to make Pakistan a safe and peaceful country. He said that Punjab government, with the help of concerned institutions, has taken immediate and timely steps under NAP for the eradication of terrorism and necessary amendments have been made in the laws for making punishments more stringent. He said that due to effective measures taken by Pak Army, police, law enforcement agencies and other institutions, successes have been achieved in the war against terrorism. He said that the nation is determined to root out terrorism, extremism and sectarianism on permanent basis. Shahbaz Sharif said that decisive action will be taken against the ruthless elements and the whole nation is standing by its armed forces and law enforcement agencies. He said that there is a new determination and commitment in Pakistani nation and the expectations of the masses will be fulfilled and the war to save Pakistan will be won at any cost. He said that Pakistan has the best trained army in the world which is fully capable to deal with internal and external challenges. He said that Pak Army with the support of the whole nation will defeat the enemies of peace and foil their nefarious designs at any cost.

The Chief Minister said that extraordinary measures are being taken in the present extraordinary situation for the protection of life and property of people and these steps are yielding encouraging results. He further said that the war against terrorism is for survival of the future generations and the lost status of Pakistan will be regained. He said that there is no room for terrorists in the country and the nation is determined to root out the menace of terrorism on permanent basis.
