LAHORE – The City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) booked over 270 wheelies and impounded their motorbikes from different nooks and corners on Eid holidays.
Traffic authorities maintained a vast crackdown was launched against wheelies, who have become habitual of plying with their and others’ lives on such occasions. Subsequently, above 270 wheelies mostly youngsters were taken into police custody and cases were registered against them. CTO Lahore Dr. Usman Anwar told reporters on Wednesday that the youngsters and their parents were requested before launching this crackdown to ask their youths avoid indulging in dangerous practice. He further said an indiscriminate action would be taken against anyone if he is found involved in any kind of illegal activities like violation of traffic rules and regulations.
