A petition was submitted over the death of two dozen cardiac patients due to use of adulterated medicines of Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) demanding establishment of a judicial commission to probe the incident.
According to details, the petitioner's lawyer Azhar Siddiqui on Monday prayed the court to constitute a judicial commission to probe the incident of PIC medicines recreation, killing over a two dozen cardiac patients, while dozens others are critical.
The petition stated that the incident happened due to negligence of the PIC administration.
The petitioner prayed the court to fix responsibility and cancel the licences of pharmaceutical companies preparing substandard medicines.
