Man gunned down at doorstep

LAHORE  - Unidentified motorcyclists gunned down a man at his doorstep in Kahna area and fled away on their two-wheeler, police said on Wednesday.
Police investigators say the deceased identified as Rashid Mahmood had contracted love-marriage and was residing in the area along with his wife. However, the police are yet to ascertain the motives behind the gun attack.
The wife of the deceased told the police that her husband went outside soon after someone made a call on his cellular phone. As he opened the main door, two motorcyclists opened straight fire at him. The man died on the spot while the killers escaped. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating.
ELECTROCUTED: A father of two was electrocuted when he was repairing electric cables in a house in Iqbal Town. Police said that the deceased identified as Ikram, a resident of Pattoki, had been working as an electrician in the area.
