LAHORE - The Young Doctors Association Punjab has announced calling off protest after successful negotiation with Secretary Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education.
Addressing a press conference at Lahore General Hospital yesterday, YDA Punjab President Dr Ajmal Chaudhry said that the department has accepted all demands and removed reservations on induction policy for PG trainees.
Dr Mehmood-ul-Hassan, Dr Sajid, Dr Khurram Shahzad and Dr Ehsan Razi were also present.
Dr Ajmal Chaudhry said that current PG induction for FCPS would be made on 1014 seats plus 118 MD, MS. He said that all inductions at subspecialty level would be 100 per cent paid preferably in the same institution.
He said that all online applications would be sent to the Principals for finalization of merit list, scrutiny and issuance of orders. He said that central induction policy has been withdrawn and replaced with modified PG Policy and from now onward applications would be submitted at website of each institution.
He said that there was no need of protest as the government has accepted all demands of YDA.
