545 passports burnt

QUETTA (APP) - 545 passports of them two belonging to ministers were burnt when unidentified armed men set ablaze a courier van here in Khuzdar. This was stated by the Assistant Director Passport Office Saeed Agha while addressing a Press conference at his office on Tuesday. Giving the details, he said that a private courier van carrying the passports was on way to Quetta from Karachi when unknown armed men intercepted. They doused van with patrol and set it on fire the other day. Resultantly, as many as 545 passports of them two belonging to provincial ministers were burnt to ashes. New passports would be issued to them within three or four days as counter has been established in this regard, he added.
