LAHORE - A minor girl and a rickshaw driver were crushed to death by a speedy tractor trolley in Green Town police precincts on Saturday. The deceased were later identified as Aneela, 12, resident of Green Town and Fareed, 34. Police investigators said that victim rickshaw driver Fareed was on his way to Green Town with minor passenger namely Aneela on his rickshaw when a speedy tractor trolley hit the rickshaw near Khan Chowk as a result of which both sustained serious wounds and succumbed to injuries on the spot. The driver of the tractor trolley however managed to escape from the crime site. A case was also registered against driver with no arrest till filing of this report. Later Edhi ambulances removed the bodies to the City morgue for their autopsies. Meanwhile, An 80-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances in Manga Mandi police limits on Saturday. Police investigators said that the deceased, yet to be identified, was found dead near Khar-Khaee in Manga Mandi. Police said that some locals of the area informed the police about the body lying besides the main road. Police also made numerous announcements in nearby mosques but none of the citizens claimed to own the body.
