LAHORE - Dozens of nurses of Sir Gang Ram Hospital staged a massive protest demonstration against the construction of a gynae ward in the premises of the nursing hostel here on Saturday. The nurses carrying placards and banners inscribed with the slogans in favour of their demands blocked the road for some time and chanted slogans against the hospital administration. They said construction of the aforesaid ward would affect their sports and other curricular activities. Later, Medical Superintendent (MS) Sir Gang Ram Hospital Sheikh Ijaz also announced to stop the construction work to which the nurses ended the protest. Pentecost feast The Christian community all over the world will celebrate the Feast of Pentecost on Sunday (today). In this regard, special services will be held at the Cathedral Church of the resurrection at The Mall.
