Focal persons for animals’ sale points

District Coordination Officer Muhammad Usman has appointed focal persons for managing the affairs of six designated sale points for sacrificial animals in Lahore.
According to a notification issued on Monday, PSO to Administrator Mian Waheed-uz-Zaman will be focal person for sale point at Banker’s Society near Kamahan Road, DO HRM Ghias-ud-Din for Shahpur Kanjran, ADC (G) Asfandyar Baloch for Bismillah Housing Scheme GT Road, DO (M&I) Amin Akbar Chopra for Kahna Kacha, Ferozepur Road, EDO (MS) Masood Tamana for Bilal Toqn Saggian Bridge, Admin Officer (Conducting) Tariq Zaman Khan for the sale point at Janat Road near Saggian Bridge.
Hoarding not be tolerated, says minister
Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin presided over a meeting of price control committee on Monday said that profiteering and hoarding would not be tolerated any cost in post flood situation. The Minister was given a detailed briefing on the prices of food items in the wake of recent flood in which secretaries of concerned departments were present.
The Minister directed that stability of prices in the province should be ensured while quality daily use items could be provided to the masses at affordable rates through Sahulat Bazaars. 
He directed the concerned officials to ensure that essential items are available to the consumers at the rates fixed by the government. Bilal Yasin made it clear that keeping essential items within the reach of the common man was the top priority of the government. Later, Bilal Yasin accompanied by DCO Lahore Muhammad Usman visited Gulshan-e-Ravi, Shadman and Gulberg markets and reviewed the implementation of the measures taken by the government for provision of quality daily use items to the citizens at affordable rates.
He directed district administration that special measures should be taken for supply of fruits and vegetables to the masses at cheaper rates. He also directed that stern action be taken against the shopkeepers who do not display rate lists at their shops.
