Punjab Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has said that modern and best training is vital to make the police a service-oriented and public-friendly force.
Addressing a ceremony at Sihala Police Training College on Monday, the provincial police chief stated that latest courses including additional combat courses for recruits had been launched at all police training schools and colleges across the province.
Commandant Police College Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, Deputy Commandant Capt (r) Muhammad Shoaib and other senior officers were also present on this occasion.
The police chief underlined that subjects like security, intelligence sharing, crime control and investigation were included in all the training courses. In order to ensure quality education, law and medical professionals and subject specialists were hired as visiting faculties to meet the international training standards.
The IGP further said that the police force would leave no stone unturned to smash the network of criminals and militants.
