LAHORE - Pakistan Orthopaedic Association, Pharmevo and Lahore Health Reporters (LHRs) on Saturday arranged free medical camp for members and families at Lahore Press Club.Renowned orthopedic surgeons including Prof Syed Muhammad Awais, Prof Qazi Saeed, Prof GA Shah, Spinal Surgeon Prof Ateeq Durrani, Prof Naseer Mahmood, Dr Tehsin Riaz, Dr Khalid Hussain, Prof Dilawaiz Nadeem, Prof Ghulam Murtaza Cheema, Dr Zia Ullah Bajwa, Dr Mazhar Iqbal Ch, Dr Asif Shah, Dr Kamran Butt and Dr Fahad checked patients from 10am to 6pm.Pharmevo provided free medicine, X-Ray, Uric Acid and bone strength tests facilities to the LPC members and their families. LPC President Arshad Ansari, Governing body members and office bearers of LHRs visited the camp and monitored the process of provision of medical facilities to hundreds of patients.Ansari said that the price hike had made the life of common man miserable. He said that the purpose of arranging camp was to ensure provision of best and free of cost medical facilities to journalists and their family members.Medical camp Incharge Dr Tehseen Riaz said that journalists usually had no time to visit doctors due to their professional engagements.“Camps at community centre like LPC provide easy access to treatment facilities. These help creating awareness about benefits of regular checkups.
