LAHORE - Kamran Kayani, brother of former Army Chief Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, yesterday pleaded the Lahore High Court to bar the Punjab Bank from selling his properties against the loan he had already paid it.
In his petition, Kayani also pleaded the court to order the Bank to pay him Rs90.7 million as compensation for destroying his business. He said that he took loan from the bank in 2006 and paid all by handing it over 137 plots’ files.
However, he said, the rest of the amount he had to pay it was about transfer’s expenditure but the banking had started proceedings against him.
After hearing the arguments of the petitioner, the bench headed by Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh sought more arguments from both sides and adjourned further hearing until April 19.
