MQM can forge electoral alliance with PML-N


LAHORE – The MQM has announced fielding candidates in all the districts of Punjab for the next elections and expressed its desire to join hands with PML-N if the ruling party of the province extends an invitation.
MQM leader Raza Haroon made this announcement at a press conference.
He said that MQM central command has sought lists of suitable candidates from the leaders of all the zones of Punjab for scrutiny.
Haroon invited people from working classes to get MQM ticket free of cost, saying the party would bear their electoral exercise expense.
He said, “MQM can forge an electoral alliance with PML-N if it extends an invitation to the party high command”.
Talking about any political arrangement with Dr Tahirul Qadri, Haroon said that Dr Qadri was interested in taking part in the elections, however MQM could consider electoral alliance with Dr Qadri if he opts to participate in the next polls.
He said that MQM would soon start its electoral campaign in the province and senior party leadership would visit Punjab to boost up the electoral drive.
