Lawyer passes away
 
 
 


LAHORE: Senior Supreme Court lawyer Iqbal Mahmood Awan passed away at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was 59.
He was laid to rest at the K-Block Graveyard, Model Town, Lahore, on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was son of late Malik Ghulam Ali Awan and brother of Dr Mehmood Awan and senior journalist Farooq Awan. Awan left behind a widow and four sons.
Iqbal Awan, author of 10 books on law, was also a former member of PPP’s Executive Committee as well as Central General Secretary of Tanzeem-ul-Awan Pakistan.
Qul will be held today after Friday prayers at the A-Block, Model Town mosque followed by dua at 3.45pm.–PR
