LAHORE – A DIG-ranked police officer, Qudratullah Khan, took the charge of Director of FIA Lahore on Saturday, said FIA spokesman.
The office was vacant after transfer of Syed Javed Shah who was appointed against the vacancy after Waqar Haider Bhatti was removed from his office and sent on forced leave a couple of weeks ago. Khan a senior police officer of Police Services of Pakistan (PSP), has served as DPO Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala and Faisalabad. The spokesman said that after promotion as DIG he was on a training course and was waiting after completion.
After taking over in his short address with FIA staff khan said that doors of FIA would be opened for public and decisions would be taken on merit. He said that discipline would not be compromised at any cost and zero tolerance would be observed regarding corruption.
